Tekko Update

Alright, so here’s the actual Tekkoshocon update.
Traffic on the way there was horrific. This was made worse by GoogleMaps sending us due west to go east. We never did find the imaginary road that we were supposed to take, and finally just gave up and took 395N like sane people would. Screw you, GoogleMaps.
We decided to make Tekkoshocon a one day con for us, since we don’t really end up going on Fridays or Sundays when we do have 3 days passes. I think it was a good decision on our part, although we did get a hotel room for Friday and Saturday night.
Tekko was fun for Maura and I, since we generally prefer trolling for costumes rather than running from event to event. Gerry, however, was not as enthused. The only event Maura and I went to was the Masquerade, which was amusing because we got to be first inline. Much bragged in Pictochat ensued.
Anyway, I now have two new costumes to abuse, which I will go into under the “cut”…
So first off, we have Wendy Earhart to go with Maura’s Yomiko Readman. Aren’t we fabulous?
And then I went TOTALLY off the deep-end and made Rock Lolita. Because I can.

I’m torn between the pole pose and the sitting pretty on the park bench. If you wear this again, add more ruffles and bring the squirrel. Maybe we can make a lacey collar for the squirrel. You know, with ribbons and such.
I reserve the right to make you wear the Wendy costume in the future, if we can get other people from the series.
I HAD the squirrel, I just left it in the hotel room because of the quick change. Somehow I think making a lolita costume for the squirrel may be a bit over the top.
You’re no fun. Of course we should make the squirrel a little outfit.
