One of my Boo parasols is up on Ebay. If you’d like a chance to snag one at less than the $20 cost, now is your chance.

Auction ends in 7 days.
Alright, so here’s the actual Tekkoshocon update.
Traffic on the way there was horrific. This was made worse by GoogleMaps sending us due west to go east. We never did find the imaginary road that we were supposed to take, and finally just gave up and took 395N like sane people would. Screw you, GoogleMaps.
We decided to make Tekkoshocon a one day con for us, since we don’t really end up going on Fridays or Sundays when we do have 3 days passes. I think it was a good decision on our part, although we did get a hotel room for Friday and Saturday night.
Tekko was fun for Maura and I, since we generally prefer trolling for costumes rather than running from event to event. Gerry, however, was not as enthused. The only event Maura and I went to was the Masquerade, which was amusing because we got to be first inline. Much bragged in Pictochat ensued.
Anyway, I now have two new costumes to abuse, which I will go into under the “cut”…
More later, but you can view the full set of Tekkoshocon 2007 photos here.

Shit like this is why new cons have such a hard time.
Long story short, this “traveling con” run by AnimeFF was supposed to donate their proceeds to charity. They didn’t and FLED with the money. And screwed over guests, vendors, staff and convention attendees in the process. Lawsuits are threatened, and I hope these @#$%ers get caught.
The Setsucon Schedule is up.
