*Yes, Christians in some other countries are persecuted. Those countries are not the US. 80% of Americans say they are “Christian”, the other 20% really don’t have much leeway to persecute you.

There’s apparently some special law of the universe that states that the more I dislike an anime, the more awesome the theme song and OST are going to be.

For example: The F-Zero anime is made of fail (at least the English dub is), but
the Japanese theme song is made of epic win.

Neon Genesis Evangelion? Hate it, but I’ll be damned if that isn’t an awesomesauce opening theme.

The opposite works as well. As you know by now, I adore Sailor Moon. But I freakin’ HATE the original OP. Then, to add insult to injury, the English dub kept the theme song instead of changing like the Japanese between seasons.

Naruto’s been bouncing between awesome themes and crappy ones. But then again, I stopped watching the anime long ago and stuck with the manga.

Here’s a cheap, easy and fun one that can easily go in a packed lunch. If you can’t find Kecap Manis, you can make your own, it will keep for a bit. Serves 2.

• 1 packet instant ramen
• 1 cup shredded, cooked chicken (yay, leftovers)
• 1 small cucumber, cut into matchsticks
• 1 small carrot, cut into matchsticks
• 1 small red pepper, cut into matchsticks
• 2 tbsp kecap manis

1. Boil the ramen according to directions, discard flavor packet.
2. Place all ingredients in bowl and mix well.

Of course, all the vegetables/chicken can be substituted for whatever you want.

This is just a reminder that my Docs are FREAKIN’ AWESOME! Poor things are 15 years old and falling apart, but still made of win.

Today I am making Garlic and Ginger Beef with Sugar Snap Peas, but just about any kind of thinly sliced meat and quick cooking veggie can be used. Other good choices are chicken and asparagus with bok choy, beef and broccoli, and pork and green beans.

The most important thing to remember with a stir fry is to keep freakin’ stirring. Stir fries use very little oil and high heat; if you stop stirring, things WILL stick.

As usual, the measurements are all vague and approximate. Serves 2-4

I just noticed (after a year) that my toaster only has two marked settings. “Poptarts” and “Dark”. The only two things I can do effectively is eat a Poptart (yuck) or burn my toast to a crisp.
